People
At the heart of the workplace are the people. They should get the benefits of the digitalization. This means optimise conditions for high value work and reduce the required effort for repetitive low value actions.
Technology
An important component but by far no more important than the others. You need technical elements like cloud , automation, low-code, ai and others. However the component needs to adress a requirement in your specific environment. Technology on its own is no added value.
Change Management
Change is constant ( see Heraclitus of Ephesus ). What some companies fail to see is that you don’t simply migrate to the cloud. No, you step into a system of constant change so you need to have a framework to deal with this.
Processes
You can add tools as much as you want , if you want to achieve value you need to change the way people work. If your proces involves printing documents , signing them and sending them by email then there’s room for improvement.
Security
Security is key in every component. You don’t define one security component, it needs to embedded in all other components like your technology, your processes and your awareness with the users.
